Urban Machine Reclaiming Stories through Wood Materials

Meet Eric Law - CEO Urban Machine. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is currently combining his passion for sustainability and technology by building robots that reclaim wood from construction and demolition to be reused as premium lumber.

In this conversation with Audree Grubesic and Mark Wille, Offsite Dirt discusses circular economy for construction, usability of reclaimed lumber, and how to recover wood for reclaiming.

Previously, Law built an industry-leading innovation team at Swinerton, and he led the Construction Product team for Bentley Systems after his company, EADOC, had been acquired. When escaping technology, Law heads to the mountains with his family to ski, mountain bike, and climb a rock or two.

Just recently we reported that Urban Machine, CEO, Eric Law and Jorie Wisnefski, Marketing Manager attended the 16th annual SXSW Pitch Conference in Austin, TX. They were part of the 2023 group of finalists and won in their category. Congrats to a company that is making an impact on reclaiming wood and making an impact on our environment on project at a time.
